This game requires skill and strategy to connect four of the same colour counters in a row either diagonally, horizontally or vertically.
The simple design means the game can be assembled in a matter of minutes allowing play to start straight away and the hours of entertainment to begin, with the simple yet effective metal catch holding the bottom bar in place offering a quick release system for the next game to get started.
Giant connect 4 in a Line is particularly recommended for corporate entertainment, schools, campsites and other public places because it is more stable and rugged than similar games but is equally at home in the back garden or at children's parties.
Fun for all ages and testing your strategy skills. The Giant Connect 4 Game is a large version of the popular tabletop game we all love to play. This is a 2 player game, with the objective of connecting 4 of one’s own discs of the same color next to each other vertically, horizontally, or diagonally before the other player. Players first choose a color and then take turns dropping their colored discs form the top into a 7 column, 6 row vertically-suspended grid. The large pieces fall straight down, occupying the next available space within the column. A great game of strategy that can be played for fun or as a team building activity.
History
This game is centuries old, Captain James Cook used to play it with his fellow officers on his long voyages, and so it has also been called"Captain's Mistress". Milton Bradley (now owned by Hasbro) published a version of this game called"Connect Four"in 1974.
Other names for this this game are"Four-in-a-Row"and"Plot Four".
